The Newest Fitness Trend has taken over Baton Rouge! Prairieville native Joshua Roberts (pictured above) brought this unique and fun way to get fit to the Baton Rouge area. And as someone who has been to some classes myself, you don't have to have any tumbling experience whatsoever! I'm fairly (very) rusty from my cheerleading days, and still got an amazing workout in. And JRob will make sure to keep you going (Think Shaun T from Insanity) and getting results.

I was brought up in the Church. My grandfather was actually a Music Minister for a while there (until he became a successful men's clothing store owner...That man could DRESS!) My first mega church experience was in Houston, Tx. I was in awe. Having grown up in a smaller city in Mississippi, I belonged to the biggest Church in my adorable little town. But bands on stage?? Church go-ers wearing jeans on Sunday Morning? Coffee Shops inside the church? I was in Heaven. (No pun intended.) 

Now Church is church. But as Christians, we still need to attract people to the Church. And what better way than to make it an inviting, non-intimidating environment. And Pastor Mike Haman and his wonderful staff and family have nailed it. Meet Healing Place Church. From the first service I went to, I felt home. Sometimes more at home than my own home. I usually arrive just in time to go check my daughter into the FAB-U-LOUS kids' area. Then I enter and find my sit in the arena that is fully of so much energy, I swear sometimes the roof could blow off.

Truly Free Bakery and Deli

Although I am off my super healthy kick, I still am obsessed with this place. We took one of our guy friends here for lunch one time and shoo-ed him in as he rolled his eyes. Guess what? Now HE is obsessed with this place!

My lunch the other day. Caesar wrap with Rice Paper and Tomato Basil Soup. Oh! Did I mention the Caesar Dressing was made with no egg!

Everything at Truly Free is absolutely 1) Organic 2) All Natural 3) Allergen Friendly 4)Gluten Free. This is the one place I can actually order Sweet Tea because it is made with Stevia! I have yet to try the sweets yet, but my mother (who is Diabetic and eats Gluten Free) ordered the Lemon Cake to take home one night. She was in heaven. She never gets to eat that kind of stuff. Lil Bambinos Playtorium in Gonzales

So it's a rainy day, and the kids are running around the house restless huh? Or maybe it's Mid-August and just too hot to go outdoors. Then you need to make the drive to Lil Bambinos Playtorium in Gonzales. 

For just $10 a child and $8 for additional siblings, you can spend all day...ALL DAY...at the Playtorium. You children can enjoy the moonwalk, the play grocery store and kitchen, or the HUGE playground full of obstacles and slides. My lil' CP cannot get enough of this place. Not to mention the staff is so sweet and friendly, and I cannot wait to hold CP's birthday party here next year! It will be hard for you to leave this place without purchasing a monthly package.
